+ Do you deliver?

We do deliver throughout the Bay Area. There is a delivery charge, which includes set up time, based on time and distance.

+ How does payment work?

If your event is at the Presidio in San Francisco payment will be made through Presidio Foods. If not, a 50% deposit is required to secure your date. The balance is due 2 weeks before your wedding date. We accept credit card.

+ How much does a cake cost?

As our work is very custom, prices are based on the size of the cake and the design. Tiered cakes start at $7/slice and go up depending on design and additional décor. Sheet cakes are $3/slice and are the same flavor as the display cake with frosting, but are not decorated. A more precise cost will be provided during consultation. There is a minimum order of $300

+ What size cake should I order?

Generally, cakes are 3 tiers of various sizes with 60 to 120 guests. Above that, it would need to be a 4 tier cake. Display cakes can be 1 or 2 tiers for 10 or 25 people respectively. Supplementary sheet cakes are 3 sizes, quarter sheet 25 guests, half sheet 50 guests, and full sheet 100 guests. How many slices does each tier serve? Check out our size chart

+ What kind of options are there?

Lots of decisions to make but we are here to help. You could go witha large tiered cake to feed all your guestsa small 1 or 2 tier display cake for cake cutting, with supplementary sheet cakes served from the kitchen a small 1 or 2 tier display cake for cake cutting, with a dessert bar on display.

+ Do you provide an anniversary cake?

As my gift to you, I will provide a small anniversary cake for two when you need it. I will require two weeks advance notice of when you will need your anniversary cake.

+ How much advance notice do you require?

Consultations require 2 weeks advance notice. For events, it's best to order several months in advance to be sure of our availability. Exceptions can be made depending on how busy we are.

+ How do I schedule a cake consultation/tasting?

To begin, we can schedule a phone conversation to discuss briefly what you are looking for. The onsite consultation is by appointment only and typically takes 1 hour. The complimentary tasting is held at the bakery in Potrero Hill anytime between 8am and 1pm, Monday to Friday. Depending on timing and location it may be possible to do the tasting at the venue. For wedding cake and/or dessert bar tasting you will need to choose 4 different items from the menu. I will have a portfolio for your viewing but I welcome any pictures or ideas that you may have to bring along to the consultation. It’s fun to incorporate some aspect of your wedding on your cake such as dress design, flowers, invitation samples, etc.

+ How many desserts are needed for a dessert bar?

2-3 desserts per person. There is usually a variety of 3 choices.
